I am a professional hair and makeup artist based in Dundee, Scotland. I began my professional career working as a hair stylist with over 25 years experience in hair styling, both salon-based and freelance. During this time I also completed a Masters Degree in Social Sciences. I have also lectured, taught English to overseas students, been an excursion guide, traveled, campaigned and supported vulnerable individuals in society and fund raised for charities. One of my highlights was an invitation to the New Scottish Parliament for charitable work in the community, where I had the pleasure of meeting Sean Connery and the Queen.
I am also a Reiki Healer and have been attuned to the first and second degree in the Usui system of Natural Healing since 2004.
Wishing to change direction professionally, I trained at the prestigious Academy of Freelance Makeup in London and have had the opportunity to develop my skills further and provide an exceptional professional service of the highest standard. Training with some of the greatest artists in the Fashion Industry including Jose Bass (Balcony Jump), Lan Nguyen, Rachel Wood (Cape).
My speciality is bridal hair and makeup, fashion, beauty, commercial makeup artistry and session hair styling although I am keen to be involved in any interesting venture. I am passionate about makeup and strongly believe that creativity knows no boundaries. I welcome requests from creative individuals who wish to work in collaboration to mutual advantage. I am presently producing a professional portfolio.
